Former Local Receives Flash Mob Proposal
A man includes a dance company and high school marching band in his proposal at a Manhattan park to former Seekonk resident Allison Leclaire.
Allison Leclaire, a 29-year-old woman who grew up in Seekonk, received the surprise of her life recently at Bryant Park in Manhattan. She was expecting to meet her boyfriend Craig Jones for lunch, but what she found instead was a dance group moving to the sound of Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" and a 140-member high school marching band.
The final act of the performance was a marriage proposal from Jones, who came out from his hiding place among the band members. She accepted as family (who Jones convinced to come out for the event), friends and strangers looked on.

The proposal took nearly four months to plan and cost Jones about $9,000 to piece together. Perhaps it's no surprise that the video has received attention from national media outlets.
