Injured North Attleboro Hiker Rescued In New Hampshire
Emergency crews and good Samaritans came together to help an injured hiker off of Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.

NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA — A hiker from North Attleboro is recovering after becoming injured on a New Hampshire trail Sunday.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game was notified by Monadnock State Park rangers of the injured hiker in need of assistance, Caroline Rocha, 42, of North Attleboro around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
With the help of good Samaritans, Monadnock Park staff, Conservation Officers from the Fish and Game Department responded to the White Arrow Trail on Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH, to find Rocha needed to be carried down the mountain.

Once emergency crews realized she would need medical assistance, they realized the fastest way off the mountain would be to continue the trail all the way down to a waiting ambulance.
Rescue teams endured wet, steep, and rocky trail conditions to make it to the Old Toll Road and an awaiting ambulance finally at 7:00 p.m.

Rocha was transported by ambulance to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, New Hampshire for further evaluation and treatment of her injuries.
