Life-Saving Blood Collected at Farmers Market

Thirty-four pints are donated.

Lots of bleeding took place Saturday morning at the , but it was the good kind. The American Red Cross collected 34 pints of blood from donors. That is enough blood to save 102 lives, based on the Red Cross equation that one pint can help three people.

Farmers Market visitors were notified about the blood drive through a sign held by a metal figure created with recycled material by local artist Jay Gafford.
