MBTA Closes South Attleboro Station, Cites Safety Concerns

ATTLEBORO, MA — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) closed the South Attleboro Station on the Providence/Stoughton Commuter Rail Line Friday evening due to safety concerns, according to a post on the MBTA website.

The MBTA said the closure is a result of "deteriorating structural conditions on the pedestrian overpass" and has not provided an update on potential repairs.

The agency is encouraging passengers to use Attleboro Station as an alternative.
