ATTLEBORO, MA — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) will be holding a virtual public meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. to discuss accessibility improvements to the South Attleboro Station on the Providence/Stoughton Commuter Rail Line.

The MBTA closed the station on Friday, Feb. 26 until further notice due to safety concerns regarding deteriorating structural conditions on the pedestrian overpass.

"Once complete, the newly modernized station will be fully accessible, providing better bus and pedestrian connections," said the MBTA. "In addition to new platforms and elevators, this project includes three new bus bays to support service between Attleboro, Taunton, and parts of Rhode Island."
