Police Identify Pawtucket Man Killed In Attleboro Crash
Police say 19-year-old Hernane Ribeiro died after crashing into the rear of a tractor trailer on I-95.
ATTLEBORO, MA — Massachusetts State Police have identified the Pawtucket man killed in a crash on I-95 in Attleboro Thursday morning as 19-year old Hernane Ribeiro, according to a news release.
Police say the crash took place at approximately 3 a.m. south of Exit 6 and involved a 2010 Hyundai Accent driven by Ribeiro and a tractor trailer.
An initial investigation revealed that Ribeiro crashed into the rear of the tractor trailer, said police. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and later pronounced dead. A 19-year-old female passenger from Brockton, whose identity has not yet been released, was also transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries.
