Seekonk Library Appoints New Director

Peter F. Fuller has served as interim director since the fall.

Peter F. Fuller has been hired as the new director for the , the Board of Library Trustees announced Thursday. Fuller was one of two finalists . He has been serving as the interim director since September, following .

Fuller will officially take the post on July 1.

"I am looking forward to working with the Board [of Library Trustees], the Friends of the Library, the Library Trust and town officials to provide the people of Seekonk with the exceptional library service that they demand and deserve," said Fuller, according to a press release from the library.

In addition to his role as interim director, Fuller has served for 15 years as associate director for operations and technology. He has master's degrees in library science and public administration from the University of Rhode Island and has worked in public service since 1979, most of that time spent with libraries.

The press release states, "As a librarian, public administrator, policy analyst and computer system administrator, Mr. Fuller has spent his career deploying new information technologies and promoting innovative programs."
