Seekonk Police Log: Assault on Officer

The reported the following recent arrests (an arrest does not indicate a conviction):

May 7

• * 9:02  a.m. - George Rutherford French, 42, of Seekonk was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle with a restricted drivers license. The arrest followed a traffic stop at the  at 623 Fall River Ave.

May 8

• 10:58 p.m. - James Matthew Grilli, 29, of Pawtucket was arrested at the  on Fall River Avenue following a call to police about a domestic disturbance. Grilli was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery domestic on a pregnant woman and disorderly conduct.

May 9

• 6:43 p.m. – Kara Elizabeth Murphy, 32, of Wareham was arrested at the  on Commerce Way following a call to police about shoplifting. She was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting, possession of a stolen motor vehicle plate, resisting arrest, two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon (switch-blade knife and brass knuckles) and assault and battery on a police officer.

May 10

• 9:14 p.m. – John Brian Clements, 45, of Rehoboth was arrested following a traffic stop at the  on Fall River Avenue. He was arrested on suspicion of a third offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle recklessly so as to endanger. He was also accused of a marked lanes violation.
