The reported the following recent arrests (an arrest does not indicate a conviction):  July 2 <ul> <li>*3:11 p.m. Taunton residents Tracy Lynn Small, 30, and Douglas William Reynolds Jr., 24 were arrested at the on Highland Avenue on suspicion of shoplifting (second offenses for both).</li> </ul> July 5 <ul> <li>6:23 p.m. Curtis B. Ruckel, 26, of Seekonk was arrested following an investigation on suspcion of larceny over $250.  </li> </ul> July 6 <ul> <li>12:22 a.m. Jason G. Demers, 29, of Seekonk was arrested at his Newman Avenue home following a call to the police station about an assault. One man was sent to the hospital, according to the police log. The arrest was made on suspicion of attempted murder and assault and battery (domestic) +60 (the victim is 60 years old or older). Seekonk Patch will have more information on this incident soon.</li> <li>3:16 a.m. Jeannette R. Bliss, 22, of Seekonk was arrested on Central Avenue on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She was also accused of a marked lanes violation.</li> </ul> *The time indicates when police officers arrived at the scene.
