Shoplifting and Illegal Driving

Seven arrests are reported from Sept. 4-9.

The  reported the following recent arrests (an arrest does not indicate a conviction).

Sept. 4

  • 12:45 a.m. Paul Costa Cordeiro, 34, of Fall River was arrested following a traffic stop at the intersection of Gardner Street and Newman Avenue on suspicion of larceny over $250, unlicensed operation of an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and attaching plates to a motor vehicle. Police were alerted to the vehicle after area residents reported seeing an unknown silver SUV or truck leaving the scene of a construction site on Oak Hill Avenue, according to the police log.

  • 1:05 a.m. Stephen P. Razza, 26, of Warren was arrested on the I-195 ramp on an unspecified warrant.
  • 3:15 p.m. Tara Lee DeSilveira, 30, of Swansea was arrested at  on Commerce Way on suspicion of shoplifting over $100.
  • 8:16 p.m. Brain Brett Burns, 38, of Atlanta was arrested at the Mobil station on Fall River Avenue.

Sept. 7

  • 2:21 p.m. Ashlee Ann Coroneos, 23, of Berkley was arrested at  on Commerce Way on suspicion of larceny totaling $729, possession of burglarious tools and malicious destruction of property valued at $10.

  • 1:08 p.m. New Bedford residents Deborah Ann Medeiros, 48, and Nancy Goncalves, 25, were arrested at Kohl's on suspicion of larceny over $250 and conspiracy to commit a felony.
