Woman Who Caused Fatal Crash Back in Court on New Allegation

Elizabeth Finnegan, 22, caused the death of a man on the road in 2006. She is accused of causing an alcohol-fueled, multi-vehicle crash on Sunday.

A Norfolk woman who received probation for causing a fatal crash in Wrentham six years ago is expected to appear in Attleboro District Court Monday for allegedly causing a multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in Attleboro while under the influence of alcohol.

WCVB Boston Reported:

State police said at least five vehicles were involved in the crash. Police arrested Elizabeth Finnegan, 22, of Norfolk, and charged her with operating under the influence, negligent operating of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operating of a motor vehicle.

Finnegan pleaded guilty in 2007 to leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury, according to the WCVB. She had struck and killed a Wrentham man in 2006, and turned herself in the next day after seeing news reports about the incident, the station reported.

She was sentenced to three years probation, her license was suspended for six months and she was order to stay away from drugs and alcohol, according to WCVB.
