Spring Your Clocks Forward on Sunday

Clocks roll ahead one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Sorry to tell you this, but you're going to lose an hour of sleep on Sunday. On a bright note—well, exactly that: it'll be brighter for longer each evening.

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 11 with clocks changing at 2 a.m. local time, so roll your clocks forward one hour before you hit the sack on Saturday.

Fire departments also encourge that you use the sometimes grammatically confusing Daylight Saving Time as a reminder to check smoke alarms and change any dead batteries in the alarms—or install batteries in alarms missing them.

And if you're one of those people who hates Daylight Saving Time, don't blame Benjamin Franklin. He was just giving the French a hard time. Blame George Vernon Hudson.
