1 Dead After House Fire On Cape Cod
A woman was found dead after a fire at a ranch in Marstons Mills Sunday night.
BARNSTABLE, MA — One person died in a fire on Cape Cod Sunday night.
Reports say a woman was found dead following the fire, which broke out at a ranch in Marstons Mills.
The fire started around 8 p.m. on the 100 block of Lakeside Drive. Fire officials said a woman passing by noticed the fire and called 911. She then tried to alert anyone inside and saw the flames spread to the roof, fire officials said.

Firefighters arrived about five minutes later and used a 2-and-half-inch hose line on the flames. Once the flames were controlled outside, crews went inside and fully extinguished the fire.
The Department of Fire Services said the fire started between the basement and the first floor of the home. Investigators do not believe it to be suspicious.
