1 Injured In Hyannis Apartment Shooting

A 33-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

HYANNIS, MA — One person was injured in a Thursday night shooting at a Hyannis apartment complex, police said.

Just before midnight Thursday, police officers responded to an apartment complex in Hyannis for a report of gunshots. One of the 911 callers informed dispatch that a victim had suffered a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, patrol officers secured the scene and tended to the injured person. Hyannis Fire Department personnel then transported the 33-year-old male victim to Cape Cod Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation by patrol officers and detectives revealed that this incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
