13 Barnstable Organizations Get Mass Cultural Grants

BARNSTABLE, MA — Festivals and cultural projects are aspects of life that can make the place you live feel like home, but those projects need funding to make them happen.

Recently, the Mass Cultural Council announced Festivals & Projects grant funding for fiscal year 2025, awarding 740 grants totaling $1.85 million, officials said.

The FY25 grant cycle marked the third year of Festivals & Projects, which first launched in FY23. Officials said interest has steadily grown, with the agency receiving 1,340 applications this grant cycle.

"This rising interest speaks to the resilience and momentum of cultural producers—who continue to deliver programs that are inclusive and deeply meaningful to their communities," officials said.

In Barnstable, groups that received funding were:

• Big Tree Video
• Breath and Sound
• Cape Cod Concert Band
• Cape Cod Music Society
• Cordial Eye Gallery and Artist Space
• Downtown Hyannis Community Development Corporation
• John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum
• Lois Weber Film Festival
• Love Live Local
• West Barnstable Village Festival Committee
• Unitarian Church of Barnstable
