Barnstable Launches Warming Hearts Program For November

The blanket collection event will see collected blankets donated to locals living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

BARNSTABLE, MA — It's officially moved from spooky season to the holiday season. In Barnstable, police officials are hoping to ensure that locals are staying extra cozy this year.

The police department has launched the Warming Hearts Program for November. The goal? To collect lap and throw blankets to be donated to locals living in assisted living facilities and nursing homes.

New blankets can be donated in the lobby of the Barnstable Police Department, there will be a collection box. It can be found at 1200 Phinney's Ln., Barnstable.
