Body Found Matching Description Of Cape Cod Kayaker

BARNSTABLE COUNTY, MA — The U.S. Coast Guard found a body matching the description of a kayaker who went missing off the coast of Cape Cod.

The Northeast District Coast Guard tweeted on Saturday just after 3 a.m. that the Provincetown Station in Rhode Island was searching for a 50-year-old woman named Carol Madru, who was last seen in the Provincetown area in a red kayak. A body matching her description was found at 6:30 a.m. along the shore in North Truro.

Madru was last seen with 51-year-old Marc-Oliver Czarnecki who is still missing.
