Busy Cape Cod Hospital Receives Increase in Donations
The Cape Cod Hospital emergency department experiences a much higher volume in the summer.
Cape Cod Hospital recently launched a $20 million plan to double the occupancy of the emergency department in the next two years. The Boston Globe recently featured the hospital during the busy summer months and explored the increase in charitable donations.
The annual fundraising drive that nearly doubled the $12 million goal is helping Cape Cod Hospital expand as they see a nearly a 40 percent increase in patients over the summer.
