CAPE COD — A Coast Guard crew based out of Cape Cod came to the rescue of injured sailors onboard a damaged vessel Sunday night.

The MH-60T crew responded to a report of a disabled sailing vessel in the water south of Long Island Sound. Once crews got to the vessel, they found four sailors in distress, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

"Upon arrival, it was discovered that the vessel had been de-masted by a rogue wave, injuring all four crew-members," the Coast Guard officials said in a Facebook post.
