Cape Cod Man Charged In Hyannis Stabbing
The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
HYANNIS, MA — A 24-year-old Hyannis resident faces charges for his involvement in a recent stabbing, officials said.
On Sept. 2 just after midnight, Shaukeem Johnson was arrested by Barnstable police. He faces one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
On Sept. 1, police responded to Winter Street on reports that a 38-year-old was stabbed in the lower back.

Members of the Barnstable Police Evening Shift, along with Barnstable Detective, conducted an initial investigation, which identified Johnson as the suspect who had stabbed the victim during an altercation in a nearby parking lot, officials said.
Johnson was located a short time later and was taken to the Barnstable Police Department.

Johnson was arraigned at Barnstable District Court on Sept. 2 and is due back in court Oct. 1.
The victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.
