Cape Cod Man Faces Child Pornography Charges

BARNSTABLE, MA — A Cape Cod man faces child pornography charges after a search warrant at his Centerville residence.

In January, the Barnstable Police Department was made aware that Sean Dwyer, 45, of Centerville, had Child Sexual Abuse Material, or child pornography.

Police investigated those allegations and, on Jan. 28, with assistance from the United States Secret Service New England Cyber Fraud Task Force, executed a search warrant on Dwyer’s residence in Centerville.

During this search warrant a "large number of CSAM files" were located on Dwyer’s digital devices. "Numerous" digital devices were seized for further forensic evaluation, officials said.

Dwyer faces charges related to child pornography and was ordered held without bail after a January arraignment. He is scheduled for bail review on Wednesday.
