Cape Cod Man Gets 5+ Years In Prison For Child Porn
Federal authorities said 33-year-old Steven Carme had more than 7,800 images and 616 videos depicting child pornography on his hard drive.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A Marstons Mills man was sentenced to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to three charges related to child pornography in November.
Steven Carme, 33, was sentenced to 63 months in prison and five years of supervised release. Carme pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor and a minor who had not attained 12 years of age, the U.S. Attorney's office said.
Federal authorities said Carme downloaded and distributed numerous image and video files depicting child pornography on a peer-to-peer file sharing software over the course of two years.

During a search of Carme's home, a laptop and an external hard drive were seized. Forensic review of the hard drive revealed approximately 7,881 images and 616 videos of child pornography, the USAO said.
Federal authorities said Carme admitted to investigators that the laptop and hard drive were his and that he downloaded, stored and distributed child pornography.
