Cape Cod Man Injured On Walk Near Duck Harbor

The man was stabilized by first responders and taken to Cape Cod Hospital for care on Sunday morning, officials said.

WELLFLEET, MA — Wellfleet Fire and EMS officials were able to help a man who sustained an injury while walking near Duck Harbor on Sunday morning.

Wellfleet Emergency Services received the request for assistance at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Officials said an "elderly male" sustained injuries after falling while walking on a fire road near Duck Harbor.

Wellfleet police and the National Park Service assisted the fire department while deploying an all-terrain utility vehicle that was used to find the man.

EMS officials were able to stabilize him and get him from the wooded area to an awaiting ambulance.

He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for further treatment.
