A legal notice was filed on Nov. 5, however, that the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office had dropped the charges.

According to a report from the Cape Cod Times, District Attorney Robert Galibois said in a statement that the "alleged victim attempted to rob the two young men − while being armed with a weapon of her own."

The woman who was shot isn't cooperating with the investigation, officials said.
