Divine Sweater Homecoming, Bear Week, Erykah Badu: MA Weekend Events

MASSACHUSETTS — It isn't so much a question of what there is to do in the Boston area and beyond, but rather, what should locals do?

Welcome to Patch's latest weekly roundup of highlight-worthy events across the city and surrounding areas. We've compiled them into one, easy-to-follow list, for your weekend planning.

Fresh off the release of their record "Down Deep (A Nautical Apocalypse)", the Boston-area band Divine Sweater set off on a tour that took them from New York to Canada to the Midwest and back, culminating in a Saturday homecoming show at The Sinclair.

The up-and-coming New England indie pop outfit will be joined by Juniper and Alright, Thanks in Cambridge.

Black Midi also plays the Boston area on Saturday at Royale, and Erykah Badu and Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) play TD Garden on Friday.

Out on Cape Cod, Bear Week is set to begin on Friday with art shows, a pop-up benefitting a legendary New York City lesbian bar and much more.
