Driver Hospitalized After Crashing Into Cape Cod Home
The driver's car was seriously damaged, as was a utility pole and fence at the home in the Barnstable area.
CENTERVILLE, MA — One person was hospitalized after crashing into a Cape Cod home over the weekend.
Around 8:40 p.m., Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department and Barnstable police officials responded to the scene after a driver crashed into an Old Stage Road house in Centerville on Saturday night.
Crews found the vehicle with significant damage, noting that it struck a guide wire for a utility pole at the 139 Old Stage Rd. home. A fence and temporary power meter were also damaged.

The driver was injured and eventually taken to Cape Cod Airfield in Marstons Mills, where they were taken by MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital.
A local building inspector was on the scene to assess the structure, which was deemed sound. Eversource also responded to inspect the damaged utility pole and guide wire.
