Emergency Shelters on Cape Cod During Hurricane Sandy
Barnstable County Emergency Planning Committee announces a list of shelters that will be open during Hurricane Sandy.

UPDATE, Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, 4pm: Shelters will be open Monday, Oct. 29 at 8am.
The Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee  announces that the following Cape Cod regional shelters would be opened on Monday morning at 8am.
Nauset Regional High School Shelter:Â 100 Cable Road, Eastham
Status: Opening to the public on Monday, October 29 at 8 a.m.Â
Animal Shelter: No

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School Shelter: 210 Station Ave., Yarmouth
Status: Opening to the public on Monday, October 29 at 8 a.m.Â
Animal Shelter: Yes
Sandwich High School Shelter:Â 365 Quaker Meetinghouse Road., Sandwich
Status: Opening to the public on Monday, October 29 at 8 a.m.Â
Animal Shelter: Yes
On Monday morning the REPC will also activate the Multiagency Coordination Center operated by the Barnstable County Incident Management Team.
Shelter operations are cooperative effort between public authorities and private agencies including the American Red Cross, the Medical Reserve Corps and the Cape Cod Disaster Animal Response Team.
