Falmouth, Barnstable Prep For Thanksgiving Day Matchup

It's been a tale of two seasons for the storied rivals, but bragging rights for the year come down to a Turkey Day matchup.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Things couldn't have gone much different for the Barnstable and Falmouth High School football programs this year.

Falmouth finished as Cape and Islands League champions with a record of 7-2, while Barnstable stumbled to a 2-7 record. But bragging rights between the two longtime rivals come down to one game: Thanksgiving Day.

The annual Thanksgiving Day game between the two schools is one of the longest-running traditions in Massachusetts high school sports, and is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. in Hyannis.
