Hyannis Road Rage Shooting: Suspect Arrested, Police Say

Cape Cod police said Nicholas Beale, who was on probation, fired a gun multiple times during a road rage incident in Hyannis.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A Cape Cod man was arrested this weekend on charges he fired a gun multiple times during a road rage incident in Hyannis. Nicholas Beale, 21, of Dennis, was charged with a host of crimes. The shooting happened Tuesday night on Frost Lane in Hyannis, according to Barnstable police.

Police said Beale, in a white Honda with four total occupants, was involved in a road rage incident in Yarmouth and then followed the victims' vehicle back to a residence on Frost Lane in Hyannis. Beale then opened fire, police said. No one was injured.

Beale was charged with three counts of assault with a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. Police said he was on probation at the time for a case out of Plymouth County. Beale also had a warrant for driving under the influence of drugs and liquor, police said.

Beale will be arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Thursday.
