Investigation Into Gunshots Underway On Cape Cod

Officials said no injuries were reported after multiple shots were called in. An investigation is underway.

BARNSTABLE, MA — An investigation into a series of gunshots from last week on Cape Cod has begun, and officials are seeking public assistance.

Multiple reports were called into the Barnstable Police Department around 11 p.m. on Wednesday for a series of gunshots.

Police said no injuries were reported at the Barnstable Road apartment complex where the gunshots were reported.

Evidence has been collected at the crime scene and police don't believe this was a random act of violence.

Still, police officials are asking residents with information or home surveillance video between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 to contact police officials at 774-487-6900 or 298@barnstablepolice.gov.
