Monday Essentials: Girl Scout Sign-ups, Preliminary Election
Here are the essential things to know in the town of Barnstable this week.
Election Day
Tuesday is the preliminary town election for Precinct 6 and Precinct 12. Voters in those precincts will determine who will run for those two seats on Town Council in November.
Girl Scout Sign-up
The Barnstable/Centerville Girl Scouts will host fall sign-up events on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at West Barnstable Community Center, 2377 Meetinghouse Way and Centerville Recreation Building, 524 Main St. You can also sign up at www.hergirlscouts.org.
Annual Meeting
The Hyannis Public Library Association will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the library, 401 Main Street.
School Committee Meeting
The School Committee will have a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m.
Town Council Meeting
Barnstable Town Council will meet Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m.
