Addiction Lecture
Leide Lessa, an international inspirational speaker, will speak at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 94 Stevens St., Hyannis, on Monday, Oct. 7. Lessa will address addiction in her lecture titled "The Joy of Saying Yes to What is Right."
Book Talk
Dr. Jonathan Way will speak about his second book, "My Yellowstone Experience," at the Hyannis Public Library, Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m. The discussion is part of the monthly Book Talk series.
School Committee
The Barnstable School Committee will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9.
No School
The Barnstable Public Schools will be closed Friday, Oct. 11, for students. The day is an All Cape In-Service for faculty and staff.
