MSPCA Opens New Cape Cod Facility In Centerville

The 12,500-square-foot facility opened Tuesday after five years of development.

CENTERVILLE, MA – The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has some swanky new digs. The organization officially opened its 12,500-square-foot McGraw Family Animal Resource and Adoption Center Tuesday on Rt. 28 in Centerville. The old building, which sits next to the new facility, will soon be demolished.

Tuesday's opening was the culmination of the five-year Campaign for Cape Cod, which raised nearly $3 million toward the $5 million project and will continue to raise money for ongoing operations. The new building – about three times larger than the previous facility – can house over 200 animals and includes new space for dog training, medical evaluations and spay and neuter services.

The facility, called the McGraw Family Animal Resource and Adoption Center, is already home to dozens of cats, dogs, rabbits and other animals awaiting adoption.
