Peacock Up For Adoption On Cape Cod

So far no one has claimed the colorful bird, which was recently found as a stray.

BREWSTER, MA – Ever dreamed of owning a peacock? There's one now up for adoption on Cape Cod. The 2-year-old bird was recently found as a stray in Brewster, the Animal Rescue League said over the weekend.

Nobody has claimed the peacock yet, so the ARL will soon make it available for adoption. He is in "remarkable shape and healthy," according to the organization.

Interested adoptees must demonstrate they have enough space with a proper enclosure to house the peacock. The organization will also reach out to area zoos to see if there's any takers.
