Power Restored to Most of Barnstable

BARNSTABLE, MA — Power was restored to most of Barnstable Saturday after a snowstorm knocked out power to thousands on Cape Cod.

Eversource on Saturday reported there were 80 outages in Barnstable and added restoration efforts were “substantially complete” in town. Statewide, Eversource said there were still about 22,000 customers without power, adding most of them should get power back by Saturday night.

The outages happened Friday as a snowstorm dropped about a half-foot of snow on the region.

More snow is on the way for Barnstable Monday.
