State to Private Employers: Send Your Workers Home Early Tuesday

The Secretary of State asks private businesses to send their employees home before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin is asking private businesses to send their employees home before 4 p.m. Tuesday to allow the state's department of public workers to get the roads clear from the impending bad weather.

He also ordered the state's all non-emergency workers sent home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Galvin is filling in for Governor Deval Patrick, who is on an Asia trade mission.
