Tornado Warning Dropped For Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard

A tornado warning has been dropped for parts of Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, but a severe thunderstorm warning will be in effect until at least 12:30 p.m.

The tornado warning was dropped around noon.

The National Weather Service said a severe thunderstorm that could produce a tornado was found 8 miles south of Barnstable. The storm was moving northeast at 50 miles per hours.

Widespread downpours have soaked Massachusetts throughout Monday.
