What To Eat This Super Bowl, With Trading Post Lounge's Kyle Higgins
Pizza and wings reign supreme when it comes to Super Bowl party foods, Higgins said. Here's what makes them the best choice.

BOURNE, MA — The NFL’s biggest game of the year is this Sunday. Though some have chosen to focus on superstar travel plans, odd prop bets and other facets of the weekend, here at Patch we’re locked in on what’s important: Food.
There’s just one problem, and it’s that we aren’t experts. So we’ve gone the college football route and recruited people who know much better than us what makes a good Super Bowl party snack, main course and even what you should plan to drink.
Patch reached out to some of the best sports bars, breweries and others in the industry to collect some intel on what the area’s best and brightest culinary minds are planning for their festivities.

Bourne's Trading Post Lounge is a sought-after spot to watch the game on Cape Cod, but, according to manager Kyle Higgins, the best spot to watch the game is actually at home.
Higgins is a yearly Super Bowl viewer and a die-hard Pats fan, meaning he has plenty of experience to pull from when planning a viewing party experience. Here's what his takes are for best food, drink and more:

Do you go out or stay home for the Super Bowl (if you aren’t working)?
Home, no question. Eat, drink and wear what you want. Hang out with your friends and no distractions from the game.
In your opinion, what is the best Super Bowl party food?
Trading Post Pizza and Wings. Specifically a Heavy Hitter Pizza — pepperoni, hamburger, ricotta cheese and hot honey — and salt and pepper wings.
It's simply the most convenient and easy to pick up. If you're a pro-wing eater, you eat with one hand and the other is for your beer and remote control.
What’s your go-to dish if you’re attending a party or watching at home?
Die-hard pizza fan. Depending on the kind of pizza (bar pizza, NY-style pizza, wood-fried pizza...this is a whole other patch article altogether) it's always the easiest and most creative food source for an event.
Football beer or drink of choice?
Beer - Huge local IPA guy here. Mayflower and Second Wind Brewing are my go-to's.
Pick for this year’s game?
Heart is with the 49ers, but the Chiefs are likely going to take it.
