Bedford Police Log: Boston Man Arrested on Warrants for Child Pornography

July 3:
Bedford Police arrested a man on Springs Road who had two outstanding warrants. Roderick Rooney, 53, of 75 Mariposa St. in Boston, was arrested on warrants for distributing child pornography and possession of child pornography, Police said.
A truck got tangled in wires on Hartwell Road, knocking some of them down.

A South Road resident reported a hit and run crash which damaged his property.

A caller reported a suspicious person in a van at a home on Brown Street, but when police investigated they found it was a real estate agent who was showing the home.
A driver stopped for a cyclist on The Great Road, and the vehicle behind hers swerved and hit a curb, damaging a tire.

A person came to the Police Station to report being assaulted in Brighton. An ambulance took the person to Emerson Hospital to be treated.

A person came into the Police Station to report being sexually assaulted.

July 8:
A caller reported a possible transformer explosion on Pine Hill Road. It turned out to be a blown fuse on a pole, and NSTAR was notified.
