Bedford Police Log: Breaking and Entering Arrest, Ducks Cause Problem

Bedford Police arrested a man for breaking and entering and on an outstanding warrant. Joseph Carson, 49, of 200 Springs Road in Bedford, was arrested on a charge of nighttime breaking and entering and a warrant for assault and battery on a person over age 60.
July 1:
One customer at a business on the Great Road struck another in a parking lot. Police assisted with exchanging information.

A caller reported a dog had been struck by a car on Summer Street, but the person could not get the plate of the vehicle that struck the dog. The owner took the dog to the vet.

July 2:
A caller from Progress Software reported a theft.
Police received a 911 call from the Bike Path near Wiggins Avenue about an injury. The patient was taken to hospital.
A Kelley Road resident reported seeing smoke in the garage. Fire officials said the smoke was caused by an electrical problem, and the resident called an electrician.
An injured deer was reported on the Great Road at Hillside Avenue, but it was gone when police arrived.
A group of ducks was causing a traffic backup on the Middlesex Turnpike.
A multi-car accident occurred on Old Billerica Road, and two people were taken to Lahey Hospital. Verizon was called due to low-hanging wires.
