Bedford Police Log: OUI Arrest, Hit and Run Accident
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Aug. 12:
An electrical transformer fell on the ground on Crosby Drive and exploded. NSTAR came out to work on the problem.
A four-car accident occurred on The Great Road. One person was taken to Lahey Hospital in an ambulance.

A hit and run accident was reported on Brooksbie Road at Page Road. The vehicle was described as an older model, beige station wagon heading west on Page Road.
An assault and battery was reported in Springs Brook Park.

Aug. 13:
A man was trespassing at the Plaza Hotel. The man was homeless and was taken to the Police Station to make arrangements for a ride.
Aug. 14:
A caller said that people were cutting through Maple Street, Mudge Way, School Way and Elm Street to avoid the lights on The Great Road, and were speeding and not stopping for stop signs. Police observed the area but did not hand out any citations.
