Bedford VA Medical Center VA2K Walk and Roll on May 21

Bedford Green residents, Housing and Urban Development-Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing Staff, and Peabody Staff Participated in the Event

While it was a bit cold, Bedford Green residents, Housing and Urban Development-Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing Staff, and Peabody Staff still enjoyed themselves at the Bedford VA Medical Center VA2K Walk and Roll on May 21. Special thanks to Collen Stripp from Monsignor Neagle who helped coordinate donations from MNA. In February, while Colleen was at the grocery store buying 60 chocolate-covered strawberries and all the items needed for a party at Monsignor Nagle Apartments, the woman behind her paid for the entire order because the event reminded her of her dad. Her random act of kindness was so appreciated by the MNA residents, they wanted to pay it forward. In one week, residents collected three large boxes of new items as well as cash donations and presented them to the Bedford VA Medical Center and Bedford Green at the VA2K Walk & Roll.
