To provide a connection with Bedford High's reading of Don't Ask Me Where I'm From, the Parents Diversity Council is inviting parents and community members to read the book, then attend an in-person discussion at Bedford High School on Wednesday, April 6th at 7:00pm with author, Jennifer DeLeon. The novel of a Latinx student into a suburban METCO program inspires empathy and encourages getting to know people as individuals instead of types or skin colors, emphasizing that no single group's experience or background is the same for everyone in that group.

Copies of the book are available from the Bedford Public Library (digital or print) and a limited number of free copies are available from the Parents Diversity Council. To register for the event and request a copy of the book please email pdcbedford@gmail.com. This event is made possible through a grant from Boston Bridges Initiative.
