BEDFORD, MA - The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Bedford Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Tuesday, Feb. 16
12:34 a.m. - Received a call from the manager of Melting Pot requesting an officer to show presence in the parking lot while employees leave due to a former employee making threats to a current employee. Officer dispatched.
2:28 a.m. - 911 call from 14 Crescent Ave. reporting water in the basement and an odor of natural gas. Officer reports leaking water pipe under the house, no odor of gas, homeowner will call someone in the morning.

7:23 a.m. - Received a call from Simply Safe reporting a residential burglar alarm. The alarm company reports on the callback could not provide a pass code and gave an incorrect pass code. Units were cancelled, Simply Safe reported they obtained the correct pass code. All in order at this time.
8 a.m. - Received a call reporting a low hanging wire at 140 North Road. Officer reports the pole across from 140 North road was struck last night, no hazard at this time. Eversource notified. Company clear and returning.

10:37 a.m. - Party into station to report a past breaking and entering at 67 Hancock St.
1:20 p.m. - Received a 911 call reporting a wire down in the roadway in the area of 38 Davis Road. Officers report a phone wire down at pole# 37, the wire was moved from the roadway. Verizon notified. Company clear and returning.
3:40 p.m. - Received a call reporting a possibly impaired operator at 358 The Great Road. Officer reports the operator was feeling drowsy due to a new medication, he provided a courtesy transport to the VA.
3:55 p.m. - Received a call reporting a branch partially blocking a lane in the area of 272 South Road. Officer removed the branch.
5:28 p.m. - Received a call reporting a tree branch sparking on the wires at 11 Meadowbrook Road. Officers dispatched. Eversource notified.
6:04 p.m. - Received a call reporting a tree down across Evergreen Ave at Neillian Street. Officer reports he and another person were able to get the tree out of the roadway, DPW notified to cut it back.
7:18 p.m. - Received a call reporting a large pothole near 379 North Road. Officer reports North at Minuteman the water has washed away the gravel from a work site, placed cones around the hole. DPW notified.
7:47 p.m. - Received a call reporting a tree down on the wires Woodland Road at Houlton Street. Officer reports branch burned through the secondary wire is now extinguished and not a hazard. Eversource notified.
