MCC’s Spring 2026 Semester Offers Support and Flexibility

Middlesex Community College helps students get on track with flexible options and a supportive environment. This Spring semester, students can access hands-on experiences and award-winning support services in ways that work best for them – beginning Tuesday, January 20.

"Middlesex is here to help new and continuing students prepare for the Spring 2026 semester,” said Matthew Olson, MCC’s Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “Enrollment Specialists are available to answer questions and help you get organized, while our Advising team is offering walk-in sessions to support course registration and connect you with campus resources. Financial Aid experts will also be on hand to assist with completing the FAFSA or MAFSA. At every step, Middlesex has the support services in place to help you fit education into your life and get ready for the new semester.”

A selection of on-campus, online, hybrid and hyflex classes offer students the choice of which modality works best for them. Students can pick and choose course formats based on availability. For each format, they can connect with professors, classmates and campus resources.

MCC offers 80+ programs to choose from, as well as access to support services, such as tutoring, the Libraries, the Wellness Resource Center, and academic, career and financial advising.

MCC’s eight-week Mini-mesters make it easier for students to balance an education with their professional and personal responsibilities. The shorter schedule allows students to take more classes throughout the semester, keeping them on track to reach their goals faster.

All Mini-mester courses offer the same content, academic standards and number of instructional hours as classes during the traditional 15-week semester. While Mini-mester I starts on Tuesday, January 20 – the same day as the traditional 15-week semester – Mini-mester II will begin on Monday, March 23.

With free college for eligible students, Middlesex also saves students time and money. No matter a student’s age or income, community college is now free in Massachusetts! The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree to attend MCC for free.
