Last Wednesday, in recognition of Memorial Day, the Burlington Disabled American Veterans 113 provided catered chicken parmesan meals from Capellini's in Tewksbury to 40 Bedford Green residents and staff. Pictured here are (photo 1, left to right) Jacquie Cope, senior resident services manager for Peabody Properties; Burlington DAV 113 Members Ray Adams, George Hinds, Al Delucia, Vincent Therrien (also a Bedford Green resident), John Turna, DAV 113 Adjutant Larry Sullivan, and DAV 113 Commander Dave Leggeri. The meal was to go or enjoy in the community room, which residents did in the 2nd picture (left to right): Eugene Fierman, Colby Miller, Steve Turner, and Richard Duffey. Also attending was DAV member and first-ever Deputy Secretary of the Executive Office of Veteran's Affairs (EOVS) Dr. Andrea Gayle-Bennett, who received a tour of Bedford Green along with the other DAV members. The residents were very grateful for the meal and remembrance.
