Bedford Town Meeting members voted in favor of building a synthetic turf field at Bedford High School as well as several other articles from the Special Town Meeting warrant.

644 Bedford residents showed up to vote on Article 4 of the Special Town Meeting warrant, dealing with the installation of a synthetic turf field at Bedford High School, with 487 voters in favor of adopting the article and 157 opposed.Â
Town Meeting members also voted in a two thirds majority to adopt Article 6 on the warrant, including Item 15, which designates $150,000 in Community Preservation funding for designs for athletic fields at 9 Mudge and Liljegren Way.Â

Article 9 asked voters to appropriate $348,260 for construction and renovation to the portion of Mudge Way from the northeast corner of the Town Hall complex to School Way, Elm Street to School Way and Maple Street to South Road, with Town Meeting members voting 105 to 40 in favor of adopting the article.Â
