Police: A Flooded Basement and a Missing Boyfriend

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Saturday, Oct. 20

12:23 a.m.- A caller reported a suspicious male pushing a shopping cart down Hemlock Lane who appeared unsteady on his feet. An officer was dispatched and spoke with the individual who reported he was on his way home.

1:13 a.m.- Police received a call from a resident of Bedford Village who reported her boyfriend had not returned home. His last known location was at Page Road and Hemlock Lane. Officers responded and checked the area but could not find the individual.

6:16 a.m.- The same resident of Bedford Villiage called back to report her boyfriend had still not returned home. Officers were dispatched. The Bedford Police Department received a call reporting a male walking along the side of Page Road. Police responded and confirmed it was the individual they were looking for. He was provided a ride home.

7:43 a.m.- A resident of Hemlock Lane reported heavy rain overnight had caused dirt to cover the drain in the roadway, flooding his driveway and filling his basement with water and mud. The caller also reported there was a lot of debris in the road. The Department of Public Works was notified.

12:07 p.m.- Police received a call from a motorist on Hayden Lane. Officers responded but could not gain access to the vehicle. 

12:36 p.m.- A caller reported a vehicle being operated erratically on Great Road near the Great Road Shopping Center. The caller reported the vehicle had made a right onto Brooksbie Road. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle.

3:35 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a male standing in front of 20 B Railroad Ave causing a disturbance. Officers responded but could not find the individual. 

5:54 p.m.- Police received a call from an alarm company reporting alarm activation at Davis Elementary School activated by the entry door motion. Officers responded and spoke with a man and his children who were attempting to use the gym. They were told to go on their way.
