Police Log: A Faulty Traffic Signal

Saturday, April 20
12:42 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received several calls reporting loss of water pressure and a possible water main break on Dunster Road near Bedford Village. The responding officer reported there was a water main break at 16 Bedford Village. DPW Water Division was notified.Β

7:13 a.m.- Police received multiple calls reporting a vehicle rollover at 18 North Road. One individual was transported to Lahey Clinic by ambulance and the vehicle was towed.Β
8:03 a.m.- A caller reported the traffic signals near CVS are flashing accompanied by a loud beeping sound. The responding officer reported the beeping sound was for the pedestrian cycle, but continued every minute or so even when there were no pedestrians. The company that services the signal was notified and responded.Β

8:59 a.m.- A resident of Pine Street reported a pothole on Pine Street at Great Road. The responding officer reported work was being done on the water cover in the area, and that DPW Highway was notified.Β
6:52 p.m.- An individual came into the police station to turn in a credit card they had found.
7:35 p.m.- Police received a call reporting an intoxicated male in the Whole Foods parking lot who was drinking a beer. The responding officers located the individual at CVS and transported him back to the V.A. Medical Center.Β
10:18 p.m.- A caller reported a group of teens running around 41 Neillian Way screaming while playing a game. The responding officer reported he spoke with the group who agreed to turn in for the night.
11:22 p.m.- Police received a call from a resident of 16 Fayette Road reporting a suspicious male dressed in dark clothing was in their driveway and then came to their door. When the caller called out to the individual he took off. Officers checked the area, but did not locate the individual.Β
