Police Log: A Mailbox Wrapped in Caution Tape

Thursday, April 18

7:11 a.m.- A motorist called the Bedford Police Department to report a loose dog had crossed Concord Road from the area of Hartwell Road. The responding officer checked the area but did not locate the dog.

8:02 a.m.- A caller reported a yellow lab, around 50 pounds, wearing a collar, ran across Burlington Road to Hemlock Lane. The responding officer did not locate the animal.Β 

10:01 a.m.- A resident of 79 Pine Hill Road reported for the second day in a row her mailbox was wrapped in caution tape for unknown reasons.Β

8:23 p.m.- An officer responded to a car crash without injuries in front of 310 Great Road.Β 

10:57 p.m.- Police received an anonymous call reporting a group of youths in the area across from 45 Robinson Drive. The responding officer reported the group was not located.Β 

11:35 p.m.- An employee of the DoubleTree Hotel called to request an officer remove an individual from the hotel bar. The caller reported the individual was wearing a backpack and was causing concern to staff and guests. The responding officer reported all was in order and the individual in question had left for the night.Β
